Reinforced for use on drones and moving vehicles, the Armored RF 50mm f/1.8 Autofocus Lens from GLOBAL DYNAMICS UNITED takes the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens and wraps it in an almost indestructible armor machined from billet 6061 aluminum. Even the anodized red lens hood and internal mask are cut out of metal and bolted to the housing.

The manual focus ring and all external switches have been removed. All adjustments are left to the internal motors so that there is nothing to get knocked out of place when this lens is mounted on a camera flying through the air on a drone, bolted to the side of a helmet, dangling from a car mount, or tucked away in a crash housing.

On RED cameras, the lens can focus and change aperture via RED CONTROL or the camera's internal focus control. The 50mm lens covers all current RED sensors up to 8K, including RAPTOR 8K VV, MONSTRO 8K VV, and all S35 and S35+ earlier sensors. On Canon RF-mount cameras, the lens will operate with autofocus and electronic iris adjustment. It covers all full frame R series Canon cameras without vignetting.
