This Letus Hawk Viewfinder for Canon 1D Mark IV (Aluminum) allows you to view the image onyour Canon 1D's LCD display through a high-quality optical viewfinder with 2.75x magnification, providing a large, bright image for better focus and composition when shooting HD video. It'sa dedicated viewfinder with a riserfor use with theCanon 1D Mark IV.
The Hawk viewfinder is completely custom designed, using 3 lenses in 2 groups for a totally flat image with no warping or loss of sharpness on the edges of the image. The lensis adjustable from +1.5 to -2.5to accommodate near- and far-sighted users.
The Hawk attaches to yourCanon 1D without any modifications to the camera--it includes a camera plate as a standard feature. The plate threads into the tripod mounting hole on the bottom of your camera and is adjustable in X, Y, and Z directions for compatibility with a full range of current and future DSLR cameras. The plate is threaded on the bottom so you can attach your existing quick release tripod plates, base plates, etc.
Mounting the Hawk using any articulating arm is also optionally possible. This allows you to have nearly unlimited mounting options for situations where standard mounting is difficult or impossible. An optional micro articulating arm custom-milled from stainless steel is also available.
Optics are fully coated with the same anti-fogging coatings used inthe Letusrelay lenses and 35mm adapters, forthe best color fidelity while eliminating issues with fogging.
Afull range of optionalTalon support rod systemsinclude a quick release camera plateto take the place of the standard Hawk camera plate. This upgraded plate allows you to choose whether the Hawk viewfinder stays attached to your camera or to the Talon support rods. With this configuration, you can leave the Hawk on the support rods and quick-release your camera for taking still images through the DSLR's standard viewfinder. This is a great feature for those who need to switch from video to stills quickly.
