Heinz Lichtenegger presents Debut Carbon EVO | Pro-Ject Audio Systems

An upgrade to the successful Debut Carbon, the satin yellow Debut Carbon EVO Manual Three-Speed Turntable from Pro-Ject Audio Systems maintains the line's high performance and clean aesthetics. Pro-Ject leverages their skilled engineering to improve many features, resulting in less resonance and audiophile-quality analog sound. A factory-mounted and aligned Sumiko Rainier MM phono cartridge delivers superb trackability as your prized records rest on a heavy, TPE-dampened 12" steel platter spun by a decoupled and TPE-dampened motor. Everything is fitted onto a solid MDF plinth that's been treated with a stunning eight-coat lacquered paint job. Even the metal feet are TPE-dampened and adjustable, ensuring the Carbon EVO enjoys a level surface.

Note:
In order to playback 78 rpm records, you must change the drive belt and stylus to 78 rpm-compatible components. A 78 rpm drive belt is included but a 78 rpm stylus is not. Please see the manufacturer's website for more information.
Superior Vibration Reduction
Many aspects of the Debut Carbon EVO have been addressed to dampen vibration to help ensure pristine, noise-free playback. TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material has been placed under the 12" steel platter, lining the outer edge, and is also used on the adjustable metal feet. The weight of the platter, at 3.8 lb, also helps with vibration, reducing wow and flutter. Even the motor assists in clean audio reproduction by being shielded and decoupled from the plinth with its own TPE dampening material.
Sumiko Rainier MM Phono Cartridge
The elliptical diamond stylus of the Sumiko Rainier cartridge is ideally suited for the thin grooves of 33 1/3 and 45 rpm vinyl, delivering smooth trackability and clear analog audio. It's factory-mounted onto an 8.6" low-mass carbon fiber tonearm, and the stylus is replaceable without ever needing to replace the cartridge, reset the alignment, or rebalance the tonearm.
Electronic Speed Control
Wanting to provide vinyl fans with a turntable free of regular testing and adjustment to maintain proper speeds, Pro-Ject has incorporated an electronically controlled speed control in the Debut Carbon EVO. With the press of the rocker switch under the plinth, you can set the motor to an accurate and stable 33 1/3, 45, or 78 rpm speed. Please note that 78 rpm requires the stylus and drive belt to be changed. A 78 rpm-compatible stylus is not included, but the Debut Carbon EVO does come with a round 78 rpm drive belt.
