The QP Color Reference Card 203 Book is a color reference card from QPcard that offers a simple way to get accurate and sufficiently saturated colors from your digital camera. QPcard 203 is housed in a book form carrier and has 35 color chips mounted on a sturdy cardboard surface. The carefully selected color samples are individually mixed in order to achieve as straight-forward spectral response as possible. This is very important in order to avoid undesired metameric effects that can ruin correct evaluation of the color performance. In addition, there is a neutral 18% gray card on the left side of the book for custom white balance setting or for gray balancing in Adobe Camera Raw.
The QPcard 203 Book is best utilized with the included QPcalibration software. QPcalibration compares the camera's color performance with the target colors on the card and creates instructions to organize the new color profile. Simply take a picture of QPcard 203 in RAW mode, open the picture in QPcalibration, calculate a profile, give it a name and save. The profile will be saved and can immediately be used in Adobe Camera Raw.
Measuring 135mm x 95mm (5.3" x 3.75"), the QPcard 203 Book is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket yet sturdy enough to be left in a camera bag. More versatile than the QPCard 202 and less sensitive to reflections in the color patches, the QPcard 203 Book is ideal for location photography.
