The L-Component for Canon 5D Mark IV from Really Right Stuff is part of a modular L-bracket system that has a B5DMKIV horizontal base plate available to create the custom-fit L-plate. The component is machined to have access to the camera's ports, and with its dovetail it is compatible to mount onto Arca-type clamps or heads. The CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum component has been Type II black anodized, which makes it resistant to scuffs and scratches. . A laser-engraved center mark is found on the side of the component along with a threaded 1/4"-20 accessory socket.
