The Wave U1 USB Condenser Microphone from simorr is a cardioid condenser mic that combines professional-quality sound capture with the ease of plug-and-play USB connectivity on both Mac, Windows, and Linux computers. The U1 allows you to record studio-quality audio in higher-than-CD quality, 24-bit/48 kHz resolution without the need for an external mic preamp, audio interface, and headphone amplifier. Its cardioid polar pattern offers focused and accurate audio capture for a wide variety of applications including gaming, chatting, music recording, live streaming, and video conferencing.
Versatile Plug-and-Play Microphone
The U1 USB provides a high level of versatility, excelling at tracking vocals, voice-overs, and instruments. Its integrated preamp provides ample gain that can be adjusted via the mic's continuous gain controller, while a mute button allows you to instantly cut the signal. The USB Type-C connector means the mic can work with a variety of phones, computers, tablets, and game consoles.
Triple-Protection Grill Design
A 12-mesh iron outer grill and a 30-mesh inner grill are combined with a sponge windscreen to stop plosives and wind noise for more intelligible recordings with less interference.
Noise-Reduction Filter
The FIR/IIR filter reduces low-end noise by 68 dB helping to provide clear sound with a 98 dB dynamic range and reducing unwanted electrical noise, ambient sound, and interference.
Heavy-Duty Tilting Stand

Works well, confusing design

Once you realize the dial in the front that is also a stylistic cutout actually controls the input gain (sensitivity/ volume of the mic), this works well with a Mac. I didn't discover that this dial controls input gain level until a few days in, so everyone was complaining I was very quiet when speaking on meetings. Note this volume control is separate from the macos input level in system prefs! You'll want to adjust both. Turn the dial clockwise to increase.
