Sitemaps help us align with our clients on the different sections the site should have as well as the different templates these sections will use. Sitemaps also guide the thinking on what the navigation should be as well.

We've taken dozens of sitemaps we've created over the years and condensed them into 3 types of sitemaps that can help guide site architecture discussions. One is an "Agency" sitemap, which is for companies that have a portfolio of case studies and/or work examples. We also have a "Non-profit" sitemap that features common sections like Calendar, Support Us, or Programs. Lastly, we have "E-commerce" sitemap that we've put together many times for sites that feature products, product collections, cart, and checkout.

These sitemaps are ready for client presentations and just need your branding. Of course, make the necessary tweaks and additions/subtractions to make the sitemap specific for your client.
